2. What personal information we collect

Information you give us

  • Quote requests: your name, email address, phone or mobile number, delivery address, vehicle make, model and year, measurements (such as load bin length), the mattress type you want, photos you upload and any notes you add.
  • Calls, WhatsApp, email and Facebook messages: your name, contact details and what you tell us.
  • Orders: billing and delivery details, order history, and payment records such as proof of payment. We do not store bank card numbers on our website.

Information collected automatically

  • Website usage: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you found our site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).

We do not knowingly collect special personal information (such as health or religious information) and we ask that you do not send it to us.

3. Why we use your information

  • To prepare and send you a quote, and to answer your questions.
  • To make, deliver or courier your order, and to contact you about it.
  • To handle payments, invoices, returns and warranty claims.
  • To keep records we are required to keep by law, for example for tax.
  • To understand how our website is used, so we can improve it.
  • To send you news or offers, but only if you agreed to this (see section 5).

We process your information because you consented, because we need it to give you a quote or carry out an agreement with you, because the law requires it, or because it serves our legitimate interest in running our business, as allowed by section 11 of POPIA.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We only share it where needed with:

  • Courier and delivery companies, to deliver your order.
  • Our service providers (“operators”), such as our website host, email provider and Google (website analytics and YouTube videos), who process information on our behalf and must keep it confidential and secure.
  • Our bank and accountants, for payments and bookkeeping.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

5. Marketing

We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, or if you are a customer and the messages are about similar products, as POPIA allows. Every message will tell you how to opt out, and you can also ask us at any time to stop.

6. Information sent outside South Africa

Some of our service providers, such as Google and Meta (Facebook), store information on servers outside South Africa. We only use providers that are subject to laws, binding rules or agreements that give your information a level of protection similar to POPIA, as required by section 72 of POPIA.

7. Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. We use:

  • Necessary cookies, which make the website work (for example the quote form and your cookie choice).
  • Statistics cookies from Google Analytics, which tell us how many people visit and which pages they view.
  • Marketing cookies, if we advertise on Google or Facebook, which help us show relevant ads and measure whether they work.
  • Embedded content, such as YouTube videos, which may set cookies from the provider.

Statistics and marketing cookies are only used if you accept them in our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by clearing cookies in your browser. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

8. How long we keep it

  • Quote requests that do not lead to an order: up to [24 MONTHS], then deleted.
  • Customer, order and payment records: for as long as tax and company law requires, generally five to seven years.
  • Website analytics data: according to the retention setting in Google Analytics ([14 MONTHS]).

9. How we protect it

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, access to customer information is limited to staff who need it, and our systems are password protected and backed up. If we believe your personal information has been accessed without authorisation, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

10. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask whether we hold personal information about you and request a copy of it;
  • ask us to correct or delete information that is wrong, out of date or that we are no longer allowed to keep;
  • object to us using your information, including for marketing;
  • withdraw your consent at any time (this does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it);
  • complain to the Information Regulator.

To make a request, contact our Information Officer using the details in section 1. We may need to confirm your identity first. Some requests are handled under the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA).

11. Children

Our website and products are not aimed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

12. Complaints

Please contact us first so we can try to fix the problem. You may also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa):
